Glastonbury has confirmed the full 2022 program for its Acoustic Phase.
This latest addition to Worthy Farm’s growing range of this year’s festival, which runs June 22-26, adds to the recent lineup announcements for the Glade, Common, Left Field and Shangri-La areas.
Specializing in blues, folk, contemporary and folk music, performances by Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott (June 24), The Waterboys (25) and Suzanne Vega (26) will be on the Glastonbury 2022 Acoustic Stage (26).
Groups such as The Undertones, Richard Thompson, Tony Christie, The Bootleg Beatles, Brian Kennedy, Mary Coughlan, Scouting For Girls, Fisherman’s Friends, Laura Veirs, Terry Reid and this year’s talent show winner will also be performing on the acoustic stage. Lewis McLaughlin.
“The Acoustic Stage is an in-house festival,” says a statement on the Glastonbury website, “For the past 30 years, people have been climbing the hill to the shelter of the Acoustic Stage.
“The public visit the Acoustic Stage to avoid the rain and possibly the sun – in the Conradh na Gaeilge sanctuary [nuestra] a super circus tent – or, for listening to acoustic music, based on songs ”.
Last week, festival organizers shared the official Glastonbury 2022 venue map, which gave attendees an insight into the venue ‘s changes and new areas for this year’s festival.
Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis, who was recently awarded the Freedom of Glastonbury, announced earlier this month that the festival will donate land to enable the construction of a further 20 social housing units in Pilton.
