Former NU’EST member Baekho has released new teasers for his debut solo EP “Absolute Zero”.
The K-pop idol took to Twitter on September 21 at midnight KST to announce new details of her upcoming solo debut through a short animated poster, with sound effects reminiscent of static. Through the teaser, Baekho announced that his solo work will be titled “Absolute Zero” and will be released on October 12 at 6 pm KST.
The announcement marks the first details about the album since his label Pledis Entertainment confirmed last month that Baekho was preparing to release the album in October. He is the first former member of NU’EST to debut on his solo debut.
The quintet broke up earlier this year, in March, after the release of their latest album, “Needle and Bubble,” which featured the track “Spring, Again.” This happened after bandmates Aron, Ren, and JR decided not to renew their contracts with the company, which happened a few weeks before NU’EST celebrated 10 years as a group.
However, Baekho had announced his solo music in June this year. In an interview with Singles Magazine, the singer-songwriter stated that he was “working hard” on his long-awaited first solo artist: “I’m focusing and working hard on how I can my voice use better to create more. versatile sounds within a song,” shared Baekho.
Earlier this month, Baekho contributed his latest single “Savior” to the official soundtrack of the mystery-romance K-drama Good Job, starring Girls Generation’s Yuri and Jung Il-woo. The series follows Eun Seon-woo (Jung), a chaebol who leads a secret double life as a night detective. He crosses paths with Don Se-ra (Yuri), a hyperactive woman who uses her abilities to secretly help those around her.
