FKA Twins has said it is “honored” to work with the crew of the new film The Crow, starring It Bill Skarsgård.
As reported last month (April 1), the film will be directed by Rupert Sanders, who previously directed Snow White and the Huntsman and Ghost In The Shell.
Yesterday (May 11), “Two Weeks” singer wrote on Instagram, “I’m very pleased to announce that I will be appearing alongside Bill Skardsgård in the film directed by Rupert Sanders Crow.”

“The Crow is beautiful, dark, poetic and sometimes haunting,” Deadline Sanders said after last month’s announcement. “It’s a story of love, loss, sadness and revenge. It’s a great honor to revisit James Barr’s iconic comic book and reimagine The Raven as a precursor voice for today.”
O’Barr’s comic book series was first adapted for the big screen in 1994, starring Brandon Lee. Lee died on the rod in an accident with a prop gun, although he already had most of his shooting scene before he died. He received a posthumous compliment for his portrayal of Eric Draven.
The original adaptation was followed by three sequences: The Crow: City Of Angels in 1996, The Crow: Salvation in 2000, and The Crow: Wicked Prayer in 2005. All released negative reviews, with the last two being released directly on video. .
Since then, several attempts have been made to remake El Cuervo, none of which have been successful. The latest effort was announced in 2017 with Corin Hardy to lead and Jason Momoa in the lead role. Less than a year later, both Hardy and Momoa were reported to have left the project.
Earlier this year, the Godlike Genius twigs were awarded at the March NME BandLab Awards. Soul II legend Soul Jazzie B presented the prize and followed a twigs premiere with “Meta Angel.”
