Fans React to Taylor Swift’s New Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds
Fans have shared their thoughts on Taylor Swift’s new wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Dubai.
Madame Tussauds Dubai has added a new ‘Mastermind’ to its gallery, unveiling a new model of Swift yesterday (November 6) that matches the era of the ‘Folklore’ album.
The handmade sculpture shows Swift wearing the low-cut bottom seen in some of her “Folklore” music videos, such as “Cardigan.” Carrying an acoustic guitar, the wax figure is dressed in a red sequined turtleneck and high-waisted khaki pants.
Fans had mixed feelings about the new wax figure. While many have cited this as an improvement over previous iterations from other wax museums, most agreed that she doesn’t quite look like Swift.
One person wrote on social media: “Why is it so hard to make Taylor’s waxworks actually look good on her? I mean this one isn’t bad compared to others but still.”
Another said: “I’m tired of these wax figures, but at least this one is better than usual.”
However, some people weren’t impressed at all: “Didn’t @TussaudsUSA see Taylor Swift’s look or is she getting wax figures after seeing it’s just Ashley’s girlfriend?! 😭.”
“Someone please stop making wax figures😭,” wrote another.
On the other hand, a guitar signed by Swift during the recording sessions of “Midnights” is auctioned to benefit war veterans.
The acoustic guitar, featuring an image of the singer-songwriter during the recording of her latest album, has seven bids, the last for $4,500 (3,708 euros). You can bid on the item here.
The Raven Drum Foundation’s second annual 12 Drummer Drum Auction runs until Monday (December 12) and will bring together a roster of music’s most influential artists to raise vital funds for veterans and first responders who are deal with post-traumatic stress disorder and trauma, according to Billboard.
In other news, Swift fans in the US have sued Ticketmaster following the recent ‘The Eras Tour’ ticket controversy.
