Eir Aoi will perform the theme song for Sword Art Online: Progressive
The theme song about what’s to come Sword Art Online: Deep Night Progressive Scherzo- the film will be performed by Japanese singer Eir Aoi. The title of the song is “Shinzo“, which means “heart” in English. The anime film will premiere on September 10, 2022 in Japan.

Eir Aoi also performed the second opening of the original Sword Art Online anime series titled “INNOCENCE” and the third OP entitled “LIGHT IT UP“. She also performed the first closing song of Sword Art Online: Alicizationentitled “IRIS‘, as well as the second final song for Sword Art Online: Alicization -War of Underworld-entitled “I will“. The theme song for the movie Sword Art Online: Extra Edition entitled “Niji no Oto‘ was also performed by Eir Aoi.
Sword Art Online: Progressive -Scherzo of Deep Night- is the continuation of Sword Art Online: Progressive -Aria of a Starless Night- anime movie. Studio A-1 Pictures animated the film with Ayako Kono as director. The story is about the events not included in the Aincrad arc of the original Sword Art Online anime series due to time skip.
Sword Art Online: Progressive is a Japanese light novel series by Reki Kawahara/ ASCII Media Works started publishing it in 2013 with the illustrations of abec and currently has 8 volumes available. The film will begin in volume 4 of the light novel series. Yen Press licensed Sword Art Online: Progressive series of light novels and describes the plot of volume 4 as:
