Dua Lipa has said that her upcoming third album is “coming full circle” since she started working on it.
Back in March, the pop star revealed during an interview with Elton John that the sequel to ‘Future Nostalgia’ (2020) was “50 percent done”. “I’m excited about some of the new songs,” she said.
Lipa then explained in September how she felt “more in control” while working on her new record: “When I’m writing my new album: I feel even easier in a completely different way.”
During a new interview with Variety, Lipa addressed a comment she’s made in the past about being halfway through a third full-length project: “Well, when I was talking to Elton it felt like I was halfway there, ” she told the outlet. ..
“But it’s coming full circle as I worked, and now I really feel like it’s starting to sound integrated.
Lipa continued: “The album is different – it’s still pop but it’s different sonically, and there’s more of a lyrical theme. .”
The update comes after the singer was photographed in the studio with The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger last week. “Sweet week,” Lipa captioned the series of images on Instagram.
Lipa first announced her third album in January. The star then explained that he had written “a lot” for the record, but said he was in “no rush” to release any material.
Meanwhile, Dua Lipa has previously spoken out about “details” that he was going to perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
