Shazam has named Drake as their most wanted artist.
The music search app is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, having launched in August 2002 as a text messaging service in the UK.
To celebrate this milestone, Shazam has shared a list of the most popular artists and songs of the past two decades.
Drake has risen to the top of the list of most wanted artists, with more than 350 million Shazams between the songs the Canadian artist has led or participated in. The rapper’s 2016 single “One Dance” is his most popular song, with more than 17 million Shazams on the app.
Tones And I’s song “Dance Monkey” holds the record for the most Shazamed song in history, with 41 million recorded Shazams. It was also the fastest song to reach 20 million Shazams, amassing that number in 219 days.
