Drake announces his first book of poetry
Drake has announced that he has written his first book of poetry, titled Titles Ruin Everything, A Stream Of Consciousness, with Kenza Samir and Aubrey Graham.
The Canadian rapper shared the news on his Instagram early today (June 24) with a photo of the book, sharing in the caption: “I don’t know if I’ve ever wanted more for people to buy or support something in my life. “life…”
He added that his first book, written with composer and frequent collaborator Samir, will be available tomorrow on his website and other select retailers.
Drake announced the project last year during the first episode of his Table For One radio show. “Thank you to everyone who helped me. Shout out to Kenza. Kenza, I love you. I want to send you love,” he shared.
“Kenza and I have a book coming out this year: we have a book coming out this year, a book of poetry.”
Drake’s last album was his 2022 collaboration album with 21 Savage, ‘Her Loss’. In a three-star review, NME described it as “an exciting prospect marred by lazy songwriting”, adding: “The Toronto and Atlanta megastars show flashes of brilliance but can’t stand aside on the 16-track collaboration.”
In April, Drake returned with his first solo single of the year, called ‘Search & Rescue’, which samples Kim Kardashian.
The example itself comes from the end of the series Keeping Up With the Kardashianswhen she tells her mother (Kris Jenner): “I didn’t come this far, just to come this far and not be happy. Remember that.”
In other recent Drake news, a viral AI-generated track featuring the rapper and The Weeknd has been pulled from streaming.
He also had another viral moment this month when his credit card was declined on a live stream this month.
