On the morning of his surrender to authorities in a Georgia jail in Fulton County on Thursday, former President Donald Trump replaced his lawyer, going from one seasoned hip-hop attorney to another: He switched to Drew Findling, who represents Gucci Mane, Offset and others and is often referred to as a “billion dollar lawyer” by Steve Sadow, who worked with Rick Ross and Gunna recently got out of prison.
“I have been retained to represent President Trump in a Fulton County, Georgia case,” Sadow said in a statement to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “The president should never have been charged. He is innocent of all charges against him.”
Trump was indicted by a Fulton grand jury earlier this month on 13 felony counts in connection with his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 Georgia election.

Sadow formally notified Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee on Thursday that he is Trump’s new attorney; Findling declined the newspaper’s requests for comment.
