Don Broco has announced a secret gig at the Reading Festival today (August 27).
This morning, the band wrote on Twitter: “I hope everyone is having a great weekend [en Reading y Leeds]” and added a sunglasses emoji.
Fans then noticed that the tweet was from Reading, and the official festival account reposted it saying, “Peep the location.”
It is not yet officially confirmed that Don Broco will perform in secret, but he would join groups such as Wargasm and Pendulum, who announced last minute performances at these two festivals.
This was also the second time in two years that the band have played a secret set, appearing at Reading & Leeds in 2021 for a set on the Lock Up Stage.
So far in Reading, headline acts Dave and Megan Thee Stallion, with former host Stormzy and AJ Tracey on stage.
In Leeds, Halsey performed on Friday with “terrible food poisoning”, telling her fans: “I performed in very difficult conditions, but last night could be the worst in a while. Feel I was in Jupiter all the time”.
In another post, she shared images of herself in the festival’s medical tent, describing the experience as “exceptionally not fucking cold” and writing: “Well, [Reading & Leeds] It didn’t really start the way I imagined it lmao! Thanks for being a great Leeds. I’m going to rest for the day and show up for Reading tomorrow.”
Reading & Leeds 2022 continues today with performances from Arctic Monkeys, Bring Me The Horizon, Fontaines DC and Wolf Alice.
