Death threats to cancel the Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka event?

On July 13 in Japan, the Sakaiminato City Council in Tottori Prefecture received a threatening letter demanding the cancellation of an exhibition commemorating the 10th anniversary of the serialization of the popular manga.Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? (Is Ord a Rabbit?)”.

In response to the threats, the Sakaiminato City Council provided information to the police, posted warnings on its website, and inspected city facilities. However, a commemorative campaign “Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? – Cafe Lumiereit will not be held in Sakaiminato city, but will be held in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, from July 16 to 31.

According to the Sakaiminato City Council, not only the city of Sakaiminato has received criminal threats but also several municipalities in Japan. From 4:00 in the 13th of July, no cancellation of the commemorative event is planned.
