Crunchyroll reveals the final trailer for Explosive Shield Hero season 2

Crunchyroll has revealed a special trailer for The Rise of the Shield Hero, Season 2 the finale, which is scheduled to air on June 29. The trailer is available in both subsidized and dubbed versions.

The dubbing cast for the second season includes:

  • Stephen Foo(Priority of the wonderful egg) as Naofumi Iwatani
  • Erica Mendes(Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Raftalia
  • Brianna Knickerbocker(The seven deadly sins) as Philo
  • Amber Lee Connors(Komi cannot communicate) as Ost Horai
  • Dawn M. Bennett (Black clover) as Eclair Seaetto

Stephen Foo recently replaced Billy Kamets, who voiced Naofumi in the first season. Kamets died earlier this month after being suspended due to a diagnosis of colon cancer. He was 35 years old.

The premiere of season 2 of the animated adaptation of Shield Hero was in April this year, after it was originally scheduled for its premiere in October 2021. Studios Kinema Citrus and DR Movie animated the series under the direction of Masato Jinbo. The anime is based on a light series of novels written by Aneko Yusagi and illustrated by Minami Seira.

Crunchyroll broadcasts the anime and describes the plot as:
Iwatani Naofumi, an ordinary otaku, finds a book in the library that invites him to another world. He is tasked with joining the sword, spear and bow as one of the four cardinal heroes and fighting the waves of catastrophe as the hero of the shield. Excited by the prospect of a spectacular adventure, Naofumi leaves with his party. But only a few days later he was betrayed and lost all his money, dignity and respect. Unable to trust anyone else, he hires a slave named Raftalia and takes over the Waves and the world. But will he really find a way to turn this desperate situation upside down?
