Coldplay add more concerts to their 2024 European tour
Coldplay have added more concerts to their upcoming European tour, scheduled for summer 2024.
The British indie-rock veterans announced details of their new tour last week (July 20), which will begin in June and include their first live dates in Greece, Romania and Finland.
With stops across Europe – including dates in Italy, France, Germany, Austria and more – Chris Martin and company have now added seven additional dates to their 2024 “Music Of The Spheres” tour.
From today (July 25) dates have been added in Bucharest, Lyon, Rome and Helsinki, as well as an additional concert at Croke Park stadium in Dublin in early September, marking three consecutive performances in the Irish capital.
The 2024 tour, which shares its name with the group’s latest album, 2021’s “Music Of The Spheres,” follows the 2023 stadium concerts, which began in May. So far, the quartet has performed in Barcelona, Manchester, Cardiff and Milan, among other cities.
It will also include performances in North America in September and October, as well as concerts in Tokyo, Kaohsiung, Jakarta, Perth and Kuala Lumpur in November. Before embarking on the European summer dates, they have also performed in Manila and Singapore in January, and in Bangkok in February.

Of the European dates to come, the ones in Rome will be the band’s first concert in this city for over 20 years, since the last one took place in 2003.
The “Music Of The Spheres” tour is currently the band’s biggest concert series to date. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology reported that it has produced 47% less carbon emissions so far than its previous 2016/17 stadium tour.
In addition, the band has taken extra precautions to be more environmentally friendly, planting 5 million trees worldwide, one for every concertgoer so far.
At the moment, they have no plans to perform in the UK next year. However, in a five-star review of their London gig, NME praised the members for their ability to deliver an engaging set, as well as a “focus on sustainability and inclusion”.
“In the songs performed here, the band destroys it all, injecting an intimate moment into the larger-than-life show,” it reads. “It’s a light show; a masterclass in how you can put on a massive pop show. The band seem really happy with the reaction.”
