Harry Styles introduced Lizzo as a special guest during his set at Coachella 2022 last night (April 22). Take a look at the images below.
The former One Direction star returned to the California festival for the second weekend in a row for another headline premiere, having made his April 15 debut.
Towards the end of his lead performance, Styles surprised the crowd by welcoming Lizzo on stage to cover Gloria Gaynor’s 1978 club song “I Will Survive”. The couple broke down on stage on the stage while matching unusual coats, while singing to the song.
Styles and Lizzo then co-produced a 1D 2011 virtue of ‘What Makes You Beautiful’.
Lizzo was already anticipating her appearance by sharing a video on TikTok in which she appeared to be traveling to the festival: “I’m bored of Coachella,” she titled the clip.
Styles and Lizzo have previously covered each other, with the former handling ‘Juice’ and the latter recording a new version of ‘Adore You’ for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.
In 2020, the two artists put together a collaborative twist on ‘Juice’ while on stage in Miami, Florida.
During his Coachella premiere, Harry Styles brought Shania Twain out to his’ Man! I Feel Like a Woman! ” and “You’re Still The One.” She recently released her single “As It Was,” as well as two new tracks: “Boyfriends” and “Late Night Talking”.
It was later reported that the pop star Coachella’s crowd had surpassed 100,000 people.
In a four star review of Styles’ one weekend show, NME wrote: “[…] It’s clear he’s no longer looking forward to the rock star’s lane, but is constantly carving his own path through it. “
