CloverWorks’ Bocchi the Rock gets a new trailer, a preview ahead of its October 8 premiere

CloverWorks’ Boki Rock anime has revealed a new trailer and key visual, along with a premiere date of October 8th. Keiichiro Saito (ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Division – Regards) directed the anime, with Keroira on character design. Erika Yoshida oversaw the composition of the series while also writing the script.

The Kessoku Band, which is made up of the main characters in the anime, performs the opening theme song titled “Seishun Complex“. The main cast includes:

  • Yoshino Aoyamaas Hitori
  • Sayumi Suzushiro as Nijika
  • Saku Mizuno as Ryo
  • Ikumi Hasegawa as Ikuyo

The group made a cameo appearance in one of the episodes of Slow cycle. Both titles have been serialized in Manga Time Kirara magazine. The main preview was revealed in July. Previously, individual character visuals were released for Hitori Goto, Nijika Ijichi, Ryo Yamada, and Ikuyo Kita. This is the first full trailer for Boki Rock anime.

Boki Rock(stylized asBoki the Rock!) anime is based on the 4-Koma manga by Aki Hamaji. Serialization began in 2017 on Houbunsha Kirara Max’s Manga Time. The story follows Hitori Gotou, a lonely high school student who dreams of being in a band. Gotou plays the guitar but can’t muster up the courage to reach out to people and connect. However, this all changes after she meets Nijika Ijichi. Nijika is a drummer and happens to be looking for a guitarist for his band.
