Elite classroom season 3 has received a new key visual ahead of its January 2024 release date.Studio Lerche returns to animate Season 3. The new key visual features the duo that ended last season’s final, Class D’s Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and Class A’s Arisu Sakayanagi:
The anime was originally planned to premiere in 2023, but was delayed due to various circumstances.
The anime is an adaptation of Shogo Kinugasa’s light novels.Elite classroom season 2ran for a total of 13 episodes and topped our weekly anime chart in the last week of Summer 2022 after Ayanokoji faced off against Ryuen. Season 1 aired in 2017 and had 12 episodes.Crispy rollstreams the anime and they describe the story:
Kiyotaka Ayanokoji has just enrolled at Tokyo Koudo Ikusei High School, where it is said that 100% of the students go on to college or find jobs. But he ends up in class 1-D, which is full of all the problem kids of the school.
What’s more, each month the school awards students points worth ¥100,000 in cash, and classes operate a laissez-faire policy where talking, sleeping, and even sabotage are allowed during class.
One month later, Ayanokoji, Horikita, and the D-class students learn the truth about the system operating in their school…
