Britney Spears Shares Statement After Sam Asghari Divorce

Britney Spears has shared a statement after her divorce from Sam Asghari.

The news comes after Asghari reportedly filed for divorce from the pop star last week, citing “irreconcilable differences”, ending their one-year marriage and six-year relationship.

In a statement he said: “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will keep the love and respect we have for each other and I wish you all the best .always These are things that happen You seem to want privacy [ridículo] So I’ll just ask everyone, including the media, to be kind and considerate.”

Spears shared a message on Instagram yesterday (August 20). She said: “As you all know, Hesam and I are no longer together… Six years is a long time to be with someone, so I’m surprised, but… I’m not here to explain why, because it’s honestly nobody’s business.

“But honestly, I could not take the pain anymore. In a telepathic way I am receiving so many messages that melted my friends hearts and I thank you.”

She said: “I’ve been playing hard for too long and my Instagram may look perfect but it’s so far from the truth as I think we all know. I loved my feelings and the tears show how I really feel but [por] For some reason I always had to hide my weaknesses.”

“I’ll be as strong as I can be and I’ll do my best. And I’m doing pretty well. Anyway, have a nice day and don’t forget to smile.”

The couple met in 2016 on the set of Spears’ music video ‘Slumber Party’ and started dating soon after. They announced their engagement in September 2021 and married in June 2022.

The marriage between the couple was Asghari’s first and Spears’ third. Spears was previously married to Kevin Federline – with whom she shares two children – between 2004 and 2007, and to Jason Alexander in 2004, although the latter was annulled in just 55 hours.

Following the news, Pink shared her support for Spears, turning a lyric into a song at one of her concerts.

Spears was released from her 13-year guardianship at the end of 2021. Created by her father, Jamie Spears, the conservatorship began in 2008 and spawned the #FreeBritney movement.

Since her guardianship ended, Spears has collaborated with Elton John on the song “Hold Me Closer,” a reimagined version of his song “Tiny Dancer.” Most recently, he collaborated with Will.i.am on the club single “Mind Your Business” last month.

Last month, Spears announced details of her long-awaited memoir, titled The Woman In Me. “It’s here, my story, on my terms… finally. Are you ready?” wrote the pop star in a post on social media.
