The upcoming BOFOURY: I don’t want to get hurt, so I’ll max out my defense Season 2anime will release three 12-episode Blu-ray and DVD volumes. The anime also announced a special limited edition first BD volume with a dakimakura cover featuring illustrations of Maple and Sally newly drawn by original character designer KOIN. SILVER LINK. is animating the adaptation, and the premiere date is set for January 2023.
The limited edition is priced at ¥25,300 (≒$185), while the regular Blu-ray volumes are listed at ¥14,300 (≒$105) and the regular DVD volumes at ¥12,100 (≒$89). Release dates with compiled episodes are listed as:
- Volume 1: (Episode 1 – 4) March 24, 2023
- Volume 2: (Episode 5 – 8) April 26, 2023
- Volume 3: (Episode 9 – 12) May 24, 2023
The Bofuri anime is based on Yumikan’s light novel of the same name. The series has continued on the online web novel service Shosetsuka ni Naro since May 2016. KADOKAWA picked up the series and published the first compiled volume with art from KOIN under its KADOKAWA BOOKS label in September 2017. The latest, the 14th volume was released in August 2022
The first TV anime adaptation from SILVER LINK. aired from January to March 2020 with a total of 12 episodes. Yen Press licensed the light novel for publication in English and published the debut volume in April 2021. The latest, the 7th volume was released in October 2022, and the 8th volume is set to go on sale on February 21, 2023 .The official website describes The plot as:
