Bocchi the Rock! there will be an important event in 2023

The official site for the Anime adaptation of the Manga written and illustrated by Achi Hamaji, Bocchi the Rock!, it was announced that there will be a special big event on April 23, 2023 in Japan. The main voice cast will include Yoshino Aoyama like Hitori Gotou’s voice, saku mizuno as the voice of Ryu Yamada, Sayumi Suzushiro as the voice Nijika Ijichi and Ikumi Hasegawa like Ikuyo Kita’s voice.

The first Blu-ray/DVD package of the project, which will be released on December 28th in Japan, will include a priority pass to purchase tickets for this event. Since the voice cast is present, better known as the Kessoku Band, fans will already be expecting big announcements for the franchise in the making.

The series has been broadcast since October 8 and has been confirmed with a total of twelve episodes, and the platform crunchyroll in charge of its distribution in the West. Hamaji started publishing the manga through the magazine Kirara Max manga time from the publisher Houbunsha in December 2017.

Production team

  • Keihiro Saitou (Boogiepop wa Warawanai (2019), The [email protected] SideM, Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios CloverWorks.
  • Erika Yoshida (Kami no Tou, Trickster: Edogawa Ranpo “Shounen Tanteidan” yori, Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
  • Kerorira (Shiroi Suna no Aquarium, Darling in the FranXX, Endro~!) is in charge of character design and animation direction.

Summary of Bocchi the Rock!

Hitori “Bocchi” Gotou, who is lonely and eager to mingle with others, spends her time playing the guitar. One fateful day, Bocchi meets outgoing drummer Nijika Ijichi, who invites her to join the Kessoku Band when her guitarist, Ikuyo Kita, leaves before their first concert. Soon after, Bocchi meets his latest partner, the great bassist Ryu Yamada.

Although their first performance together is mediocre, the girls are strengthened by their love of music, and Kita soon rejoins them. Finding happiness in music, Bocchi and her classmates put all their efforts into improving as musicians while making the most of their high school days.
