The release of “Vibe” will be the Big Bang frontman’s first solo work in nearly six years. Taeyang’s most recent work as a solo artist was his 2017 album “White Night,” which included the lead single “Darling” as well as the B-side “Tonight,” featuring Zico. Vibe” is also his first release under new management: the Big Bang member announced that he signed with The Black Label last week, after his contract with YG Entertainment expired.

For his part, Jimin’s classmate Jungkook managed to amass over 100 million streams on Spotify with his latest solo single “Dreamers” just 35 days after its release, making it the biggest single by a solo artist since South Korea. The song was released as part of the original soundtrack for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in November last year, and Jungkook himself and Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi performed at the opening ceremony of the World Cup before its release. the studio version.
