TheArkknights: Prelude to Dawnanime has revealed a new trailer alongside the October 28 premiere. Studio Yostar Pictures animated the adaptation of the hugely popular game, with Yuki Watanabe as director and Masataka Nishikawa as assistant director.
Hypergryph and Studio Montagne are credited as original creators. Aya Takafuji is in charge of character design. The first PV was released this April. A key visual was also revealed:
Arknights is a free mobile tower defense game developed by Hypergryph and distributed by Yostar. The game launched in China in May 2019 and became available in other countries in January 2020. It is available to play on iOS and Android devices as well as Windows. The game uses gacha mechanics and offers many different characters to play.
The official website describes the game’s plot as:
Take on the role of a key member of Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company battling both a deadly infection and the turmoil it leaves behind. Together with your leader Amiya, you will recruit Operators, train them, then assign them to various operations to protect the innocent and resist those who would throw the world into turmoil.
