Anita Baker announces her first tour in almost 30 years
Anita Baker has announced that she will be touring in 2023 for the first time in nearly three decades.

“I’m looking forward to a crazy, beautiful time with my fans,” the eight-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter enthused in a press release. “I’m also bringing new music and special guests.”

Baker has spent much of 2021 trying to regain ownership of his records from his former label, Elektra, and told fans earlier this year not to buy or stream his music until the issue was resolved. In September 2021, he announced on Twitter that “all my kids are coming home” and that fans could stream his music again.
It’s clear that Chance The Rapper helped Baker regain ownership of her rights, although the singer didn’t explain exactly how. Earlier this year, she publicly thanked him during a concert in Las Vegas after seeing him in the audience.
“Could you say hello to a friend of mine, through the music industry, and help me get ownership of my master recordings?” Baker said before showing Chance in the crowd, who rose to their feet as the audience applauded.
