In addition, Alvvays today (December 7) shared the music video for “Many Mirrors”, from their latest album, “Blue Rev”.
Video game developer Eric Barone, responsible for Stardew Valley, created the visual effects.
Check it out below.
With a mutual respect for each other’s work, Barone heard “Many Mirrors” and was inspired to create a magical video concept based on old-school side-scrolling video games.
On the creation of the video, Barone said, “It’s not every day that I get an email from a cool band like the Alvvays. When I found out they were Stardew Valley fans, I was so honored. The album is on a great length, but the song “Many Mirrors had a pure, adventurous energy that I really enjoyed.
“I took that feeling and used it to create a visual world in my mind… and that’s what this video ended up being. I had a lot of fun making it, and I’m very happy to be able to contribute. a small part, to the history of the Band.”
