The upcoming Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Kojou anime film has released a short animated music video for “Shin-On,” the official theme song for the film, performed by veteran Japanese singer-songwriter Miyuki Nakajima.
It’s also worth noting that “Shin-On” is Nakajima’s first time performing a song for an anime-related project. She previously mentioned that after reading the film’s script, she likened the feeling to “unrequited love of a high school student.”
Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Kojou will premiere in theaters on September 15. Studio MAPPA animated the film under the direction of Mari Okada. Other personnel include:

The cast for the film includes Junya Enoki as Kikuiri Masamune, Reina Ueda as Sagami Mutsumi, Misaki Kino as Itsumi, Koji Seto as Akimune, and Kento Hayashi as Tokimune Kikuiri. TheAlice to Therese no Maboroshi Kojouthe film was first announced in June 2021 along with a preview and trailer. Warner Bros. distributes the film in Japan.
Director and screenwriter Okada previously stated that she wanted to recreate the atmosphere she felt as a child while watching Japanese films and anime films. Boys will be the main characters in this film, which will portray the “tingling feeling of youth” instead of sweet-and-sour teenage drama.
