Adele talks about the only reason she’s going to the Super Bowl
Adele has announced that the only reason she will be going to the Super Bowl this weekend is to see Rihanna’s highly anticipated halftime show.
Rihanna will perform live for the first time in five years on Sunday (February 12) at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., an opportunity she has already described as “an artist’s dream.”
Adele mentioned she was going to the Super Bowl during a show as part of her “Weekends With Adele” residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. “I’m only going to Rihanna,” he told a member of the public. “I don’t give a shit.”
Back in January, Rihanna teased her performance on social media, where voices from fans asked her where she was (perhaps in part to her own 2011 single “Where Have You Been”).
The artist was offered the opportunity to headline the 2019 Halftime Show. She turned down the offer in an attempt to show solidarity with Colin Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback who became the first NFL player to kneel in protest against police brutality . in 2016.
Rihanna’s last live performance was at the 2018 Grammys.
Elsewhere, Adele took home the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance with her song “Easy On Me.” It was nominated for six other awards, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.
Meanwhile, Rihanna has registered a trademark for the phrase “Fenty Kids,” suggesting that her next business venture could be a children’s clothing line. In recent years, he has successfully launched several businesses under the Fenty name, most notably Fenty Beauty. She has also created a lingerie line, Savage x Fenty, which she shows every year.
