September this year marks the fifteenth anniversary of the beginning of the manga serial number written and illustrated by Ishiki, Acchi kocchi (Place to place). The author shared a special illustration on Twitter, accompanied by the following message: «“Acchi Kocchi” celebrates its 15th year. Thanks to everyone who supported us and helped us get here. Thank you very much!».
Ishiki started publishing the manga in the magazine Am Manga Kirara from the publisher Houbunsha in September 2006, and the publisher published the seventh compiled volume in January 2017, followed by the eighth in November 2019 in Japan. The play inspired an anime adaptation of twelve studios made by the studios. AIC led Fumitoshi Oizaki and scripts written by Nobuhiko Tenkawa, released in April 2012 and distributed by Sentai FIlmworks in the West. Following the release of OVA in November 2012, no further adaptations were made to the play.
Summary of Acchi Kocchi
Emotions may come and go, but true love always remains in the heart. Tsumiki Miniwa is under great pressure from her best friend, Io Otonashi. For her, acknowledging it is almost impossible; but friends, they seem like a great game. Pretty and petite, Tsumiki appears more like a friend, and Io's attitude towards her is more friendly than towards others. Despite the constant tearing and the obvious innuendo from his friends, Io always seems to miss the signs. Tsumiki spends time with her daily life and with her friends and Io. Will she have the courage to acknowledge her true feelings?
