A Playthrough of a Certain Dude’s VRMMO Life reveals a new trailer ahead of its October premiere
Playing out the VRMMO life of a certain dude revealed a new trailer earlier this week. The anime premieres on October 2nd. Studio MAHO FILM animates. The first trailer of the series was released last month.
The theme songs for the series are “Magic Writer” by saji as the opening and “Kibo no Recipe” by Miho Okasaki. Yuichi Nakazawa directed the adaptation of Playing out the VRMMO life of a certain dude with Toko Machida for series composition. Yuko Oba and Yuko Watanabe are credited as lead character designers. The main cast consists of:
- Kaito Ishikawa as Earth/Daisuke Namikawa as Taichi Tanaka
- Reina Ueda as Fairy Queen
- Tasuku Hatanaka as Zwei
- Miho Okasaki as Millie
Playing out the VRMMO life of a certain dudeanime (Toaru Osan no VRMMO Katsudouki) will adapt a light novel written by Howahowa Shiina and illustrated by Yamaada. The series began serialization on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2013 and then moved to the AlphaPolis website in August 2016. A manga adaptation by Shuya Rikudo is currently underway,

A new type of VRMMO called “One More Free Life Online” is out. He enters as the avatar of a young boy named “Earth”. Taichi Tanaka (38, single) has a regular office job and likes to play video games in his spare time. In a world where the player is free to do whatever he wants, he decides to master a skill that was considered useless! He makes potions that are too hard to make, cooks food that is too good, and uses strange original weapons to hunt monsters… An adventure manga about an ordinary middle-aged man who calmly enjoys his VRMMO sandbox game !
The first two episodes were screened at Anime Messe Babelsberg (Germany) on July 22, 2023.
