Drake is the latest artist to have an object thrown at him after he was hit with a phone during his recent performance in Chicago.
The Toronto rapper is currently on tour in North America with 21 Savage on their “It’s All a Blur” joint tour. It began on Wednesday (July 5) at the United Center in Chicago and will continue through September 5, when it ends in Glendale, Arizona.
In a recent TikTok video, someone caught the dangerous incident when a fan threw his phone on stage. The missile hit Drake in the arm before he ran off the stage. Drake checked his arm to see if it was hurt and continued to belt out Ginuwine’s “So Anxious.”
Adele, Drake’s friend and fellow pop giant, spoke about the recent collapse phenomenon during one of her “Weekend With Adele” residency performances. “You noticed that people are forgetting the etiquette of the shows,” he asked the public. Have you seen it? He continued to march across the stage with a T-shirt gun: “Fuck you dare. I dare you to throw something at me… These people have gone crazy, can you imagine?”

Recently, Drake fired back at Childish Gambino for saying that his Grammy-winning song This Is America was originally Drake’s dissension. While performing “Headlines” on his current tour, fake headlines appeared on the screen behind him. One read: “Drake’s over-rated, over-rated song ‘This Is America’ was a rip-off.”
Separately, the Billboard Artist of the Decade released his first book of poetry, Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream of Consciousness, with Kenza Samir and Aubrey Graham, last month. He also announced that he will release an album to accompany the book.
