50 Cent Sparks ‘Grand Theft Auto 6’ Rumors With Cryptic Vice City Teaser
50 Cent has posted a rendering of Grand Theft Auto Vice City on social media, leading fans to theorize if the rapper will appear in Rockstar Games’ upcoming title, Grand Theft Auto 6.
Yesterday (February 28), 50 Cent posted an image of Grand Theft Auto’s Vice City logo on instagram. Today (March 2), he shared the same image on Twitter, with the caption: “Gonna explain this later GLG GreenLight Gang this shit more than Power trust me. Boom #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi.”
While 50 Cent’s message remains cryptic, the Vice City connection has given fans a hint that the rapper will play a role in Grand Theft Auto 6 .
While Vice City is the fictional location for Rockstar Games’ 2002 game Grand Theft Auto, a report claimed in 2022 that the studio will return to the Miami-inspired location with Grand Theft Auto 6.
The report also claimed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will have two main characters, one of which will reportedly be the first female lead in the series.
Since then, a hacker released the first footage of the game online, which led to his arrest by the Welsh police.
Rockstar confirmed the validity of the leak, although Take-Two, the publisher of Grand Theft Auto, claimed that the “extremely disappointing” hack will not affect development.
“Regarding the leak, it was terribly unfortunate, and we take these types of incidents very seriously,” Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, said in November. “There’s no evidence that any material assets were stolen, which is good, and the leak certainly won’t affect development or anything like that.”
Since then, both Take-Two and Rockstar have kept quiet about Grand Theft Auto 6, although it remains to be seen if 50 Cent’s teaser is related to the project.
